Features of the Student Portals
The lower portal (level 10) is fitted with working pods – suited to group work and collaboration. The design palette is muted and calming, and the spaces are semi-enclosed; encouraging collaboration and communication
The middle portal (level 11) echoes the popular State Library lawn across the road in Swanston Street – with gentle undulating green carpet suited to relaxation and hanging out, the portals are the ideal place to unwind or do some light reading.
The upper portal (level 13), which is closer to the Schools of Architecture and Design, and Property, Construction and Project Management, has working tables suitable for cutting and building models – it’s the ideal place for project work
Other key features:
- All of the levels are fitted with WiFi
- Small kitchenettes – with microwaves and boiling/chilled water taps – are also located on the lower (level 10) and upper levels (level 13).
- STREAT cafe is located on level 11 on the middle portal.
