A new space for RMIT Link, Students Group and Library staff has been opened in Building 94.
Project: Building 94, new spaces for RMIT Link, Students Group and Library Staff
Architect: Six Degrees
Commenced: 1 December 2014
Completed: 9 February 2015
RMIT Link organises arts, community and cultural programs and events, primarily at the City campus.
Spacious and well-appointed, the new level 3 space offers staff a light-filled and relaxing working environment.
Dr Tim Smith, Senior Manager, RMIT Link, said staff are enjoying the simplified new work space:
“It is spacious and well-appointed. All-up it has been a great success.”
The move, which consolidated two staff teams and management into one space, has strengthened the Link team and facilitated a better understanding of programs and practices within the group, according to Smith.
The room includes an informal meeting and reception area, various staff workspaces and is highlighted with wood finishing.
Despite the move across campus, Link will retain a presence in their former Building 8 location, with student spaces and the Link managed RMIT City Fitness gym remaining.
Also part of this project, a number of library staff spaces have also been relocated to the same level of Building 94.
