A new Audio Visual staff space has opened in Building 73.

Project: AV Staff relocation to Building 73

Architect: John Wardle Architects

Commenced: 19 January 2015

Completed: 1 June 2015

With capacity for up to 24 staff, the space is a significant improvement on the former Building 12, level 3 offices. The new open plan area has larger work spaces and room for storage.

Chris McCullough, Senior Manager, RMIT Audio Visual Contracts, said the high ceilings, open plan design and natural light were the highlights of the refurbishment.

“With everything being new with a fresh colour palette, the new space has a fantastic open, airy and comfortable feel. It is a good layout for our needs, with the zoning of different, specific AV office functions, with minimal noise distribution between them.” He said.

With a larger work space and storage facilities, RMIT audio visual staff now have the capacity to service staff and student needs from the one main location.
